It all started with a Word from God, a mandate and mission that completely changed the life of Bishop Dwayne L. Bull and his family. Leaving his home church and opening Powerhouse was just the beginning and the birth of PHM was marked with a remarkable 30 day revival in Clayton, Delaware. Under the mantle of Church of God in Christ, Powerhouse thrived and grew in its membership, continuously defined by its constant motto, Come for the Experience!

In 1999, by the leading and instruction of God, Bishop Dwayne L. Bull transitioned PHM from C.O.G.I.C. and joined Kingdom Fellowship Covenant Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Ralph Dennis. In addition to joining KFCM, the church was renamed from Powerhouse C.O.G.I.C. to Powerhouse Ministries, Inc.

Shortly thereafter, through God’s will and way, PHM moved into the PowerCity, the current campus that houses PHM, Smyrna Clayton Learning Center and a number of local businesses. The Powercity, previously an Acme, was renovated into a gorgeous, 2.3 million dollar, 600 person capacity sanctuary for worship and community revolution.

Currently PHM is thriving and growing everyday. our vision and mission has stayed constant and with ministries ranging from Outreach to Single Adults Living the Truth, the Word of God and the vision of our leaders resonate throughout the congregation and the community, Jesus is Lord and we live to serve, worship and praise Him.
